ACTIVITY LOG 2
After painting the base, trim, and stars on the back of the shed, we moved on to sketching the
outline of our design ideas on the side of the shed along with the front. To keep with our solar system theme, we decided to paint WGHS in stars on the front of the shed, and a rocket at the top of the shed. Ella and Kelsey wrote out the individual letters in pencil on the doors, and then Ella wentover those outlines by putting white paint on the back of the paint brushes, and dotting different sizes of stars. While Ella and Kelsey were working on the letters, Natalia worked on drawing the outline of the rocket. When Natalia was finished with the outline of the rocket, Kelsey started painting it and Natalia helped Ella with the letters and did more trim work. Ella and Natalia finished the front of the shed going to the side to help Mallory. Kelsey continued to work on the rocket until it was done, letting Natalia do the flames at the base of the rocket.
Meanwhile, Mallory worked on sketching the planets, by making many different size circles.
She left a big space in one corner for the sun, which would end up being the last thing painted. After, Mallory began painting the planets, using lots of blended colors. When Ella and Natalia finished painting the letters, they came over and helped with painting the planets. The sun took 25 minutes to paint, and was painted using a variety of reds, oranges, yellows, and pinks. Painting the planets and the sun took up the rest of the day. Having the whole shed painted and finished took 6 hours. To claim the artwork as our own, we left out hand prints with our initials on the back of the shed.

gallery post, complete with captions and behind the scenes of the finished product.)
